Our Services
We currently offer pediatric physical, speech, and occupational therapy services along with aquatic therapy and hippotherapy. We can provide out-patient, daycare, and in-home services.

Physical Therapy
Pediatric physical therapy assists with, but not limited to, developmental delays, decreased strength, impaired balance, and coordination/frequent falls, low endurance, orthopedic conditions, torticollis, spinal cord defects and injuries, and traumatic brain injuries. Physical therapy assists with motor skill achievement to improve functional mobility, participation with peers and participation within the environment. Physical therapy goals include, but are not limited to:

Learning to walk, run, skip, and gallop

Lower extremity and core strength

Improve coordination

Improve balance to decrease falls

Improve ability to sit upright without assistance

Wheelchair mobility and transfers

Learning to use assistance device(s)
Speech Therapy
Pediatric speech therapy assists children with, but not limited to, developemental delays, language delays, articulation and speech delays, fluency disorders, voice disorders, oral motor disorders, and dysphagia. Speech therapy assists with improving language, speech, and communication skills, participation with peers and participation within the environment. Speech therapy goal include but are not limited to:

Functional concepts such as colors, shapes, spatial concepts, counting, etc

Improving receptive and expressive language

Improving speech and intelligibility

Improving attention to task

Improving socialization by teaching patient how to initiate conversations and topic maintenance

Improving ability to answer and ask questions

Learning to assistance communication devices.
Occupational Therapy
Pediatric occupational therapy assisits with, but not limited to, developmental delays, decreased fine motor skills, decreased ability to perform activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, and grooming, feeding, sensory integration, orthopedic conditions, behavior difficulties, handwriting, and skills utilized for participation with peers such as grasp of pen/pencil, grasp and use of scissors and other preschool devices. Occupational therapy goals include, but are not limited to:

Learning to use upper extremity assisitance devices and adaptive equipment
Hippotherapy

Hippotherapy benefits include: development of balance, improved coordination, increased vocalization, improved articulation, improved sensory awareness/processing, improved posture, improved attention to task, increased circulation, improved respiration, relaxation of spastic muscles, and strengthening of weak muscles.

Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic therapy benefits include: development of balance, increased circulation, improved respiration, relaxation of spastic muscles, strengthening of weak muscles, improved sensory awareness/processing, increased range of motion, and increased joint flexibility due to reduced effects of gravity.
